This podcast was MUCH, MUCH better than the previous two. My group and I were able to tape all three of our footage in less than 2 hours.... a record thus far! And, I was able to completely edit my video in 2 hours!! I would definately consider this experience a success.
I guess that I would attribute all this success to two other podcasts that did not turn out so well. As much as I hate to admit it sometimes, I am getting more familiar with Imovie and am much more comfortable working with it by myself. I am better at navagating all the functions and adding new features (check out my slides this time:)). Also, I had good information to work with so collecting everything I needed was no work at all.
I hope that you think this podcast has improved as much as I have. I am anxiously waiting on your comments!

Brandi--
Great location and intro off of the elevator. Your podcast was very well organized and had clear, dilineated sections.
I thought the slides you used were great. The timing on them between each of the points was awesome. My one suggestion though would be to use a larger font size. The font on some of the slides, especially in the slides with lots of articles/authors, was a small and hard to read. Maybe put each point on it's own slide?
The one other thing I noticed was that the audio at the end of the 1960s to 1970s segment was a little out of sync. I know other people have been having problems with uploading to YouTube, so maybe that was the problem.
Either way, I thought the information you provided was very useful and gratifying...ha ha.

Brandi,
I think you have definitely come a long way in understanding both production and editing. Your third podcast was excellent! It was well organized and had a good pace to it.
I like that you used slides to lay out the main points that you were discussing. I don't know if there is a good rule of thumb for how much to include on a slide that is intended for video production. You might think about giving each point its own slide to reduce any clutter.
Also, when I watched the video last night the audio was not out of sync, but I went back and just watched through it again and it did seem out of sync. Maybe it is my internet connection at home versus school? Or maybe, like my experience, youtube is just being stupid.
Overall, I think you did a really great job with this podcast!

Careful when you are cutting, you cut off your audio a bit took much in a couple of spots. You’ve got a jump right after slide one. There’s a stray clip around 1:45 or so. I like the way the slides come up. You might think about using more slides with larger fonts. There is a stray clip around 2:33 or so and I think it may be causing your audio to shift. It goes out of sync as you get to 2:40 or so. Ideally, you should cover the sections where you are reading directly from the script. Make sure you watch for stray clips when you are editing—there is one at the end of the video as well. Overall, the podcasts are getting better each time.
Brandi,
I like when you just walk out the elevator and introduce your podcast. I like your frame and angle of this podcast.
I have some suggestions on slide. It seems lots of information there. The title is a little small to look at it. There was audio sound was overlapped on video. 2:53-3:00, the video was running but there was no sound. I have that experience on my first podcast. It was on iMovie, but on youtube, I cannot hear some point. Also, different version of iMovie shows different audio. So, maybe different version of iMovie or youtube problem.
Overall, you did good job on this podcast. I look forward your final podcast!
Brandi, Your introduction was great! I liked the way you changed it up. I also think you looked like a talk show host, in a good way. Your podcast was very enjoyable. It is clear that you have become more comfortable in front of the camera and in editing your work. YaY for understanding how to use all of the equipment!
The one suggestion I have is to reduce the amount of text on each slide -- from what I understand they are difficult to create, but with so much going on it is hard to concentrate on the text and what you are saying.
Other than that -- good job! Can't wait to see the final podcast! We are almost done!!
